The Awesome Musuem

On Friday we went to the Boca Museum of Art. IT WAS AWESOME. There was an exhibit where they had costumes from famous movies. My favorite one there was the CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW one. I have a HUGE crush on Mr. Depp. At the museum there were two costumes from Finding Neverland, Sherlock Holmes and Phantom of the Opera and one dress from the movie Ever After. Here are five other movie costumes that weren't in the exhibit.

Alan Rickman- Severus Snape (Harry Potter)

Antonio Banderas- Che (Evita)

Hugh Jackman- Drover (Australia)

Viggo Mortensen- Frank Hopkins (Hidalgo)

Harrison Ford- Han Solo (Star Wars)

30 day challenges

For my first 30 day challenge I was supposed to stop biting my nails. That did not go as well as I thought it would go. My nails are still as short as they were when I started the challenge. But on the positive side, I did not bite my nails as much as I did before. I will still be trying to stop biting my nails while I am in the middle of my next 30 day challenge.

My next 30 day challenge I will start being involved in my fellow students conversations. I was always uncomfortable starting or even being involved in a conversation because I never know what to say. I am also afraid that someone my make fun of my speech. I was brutally bullied when I was in second grade. Not physically bullied but emotionally bullied.

Techniques:

I will think to myself that I speak perfectly fine before I start talking.
I will say good job in my head after I have finished a conversation
and will use many more techniques but i cannot think of any more techniques to write in this blog post.

finding the color inspiration

Color by COLOURlovers

This is my favorite pattern by tinidrill. I like this one because it seems we both like it when we see horses run. The color brown on a horse makes me think of one of the horses that I used to ride whose name was Sox. Sox was a brown arabian horse who always stuck his tongue out when I rode him. Three adjectives that I would describe tinidrill would be realistic, outstanding, and artisitic.

30 day challenge

I am doing a 30 day challenge where i cannot bite my nails. For the week that i am out of school i will probably be reading my Eldest book so i will have to hold my book with two hands. I will ignore that i have fingers when i do not have a book in my hands. So soon i will have long and gorgeous nails.

My Personality (not the Performer)

I did a test on Wednesday the 15th and I got the result The Nurturer, not The Performer. Emily did and she does not even take acting class. I highly disagree with the test, i am a born star. But sometimes I can be nurturing. I love all kinds of animals... well all except for ostiches, emus and snakes. But one day I will be performing right next to Johnny Depp.

Henri Matisse

Artist: Henri Matisse

Life span: 1854-1954

Origin/location: France

__Henri_____’s Self Portrait

My favorite pieces

Artist’s Medium(s): oil, pen and ink,

What was/is their intention of their art? (Artist statement)
"Perhaps what we call perfection in art... is no more than the sense of wanting or finding in a human work that certainty of execution, that inner necessity, that indissoluble, reciprocal union between design and matter, which I find in the humblest seashell."

What I like most about their art: his artwork is colorful

Milagro Center

Since the month of november we have been going to the Milagro Center every monday. From two to three we play with the kids outside. Then at three we go inside to help the kids with their homework. When I help kids with the homework I see that I am more confident in talking to people then ever before My favorite kid who attended the Milagro Center was a boy named Jasper who loved playing charades with me and the best art teacher, Shaina. Sadly Jasper does not go to the Milagro Center anymore. My favorite event that I did there was to throw the charades part of the Holiday party. I wrote some characters and animals for the kids to act out such as a monkey, superman, the mad hatter and a piranha. The Milagro Center is a wonderful center for a person like me to find their voice.

trip to orlando

On Wednesday morning we left Ali's house at 9:00 to pick Olivia up at West Palm beach at the Marriott hotel that is across from the place where i go for my choir class on Mondays.

We then drove to Vero beach for the rope's course. We arrived at the place at 11:15 and met Keenan in the waiting room. We then went outside to the course an we first played a game where we stand in a circle and one person stands at the top and asks the group a question like "Who ever been in a chorus? and whoever has has to run to another spot in the circle and whoever is the slowest to get to a spot is the question asker. Then we played a game where the group has to stand on numbers in a circle in order from 1 to 25. Then we went back inside to have lunch. I had an egg salad sandwich. While we ate we talked about why we went to space of mind. After lunch we went back outside. The first obstacle after lunch was a balance beam was there is a moving loge and three wires connected to a pole and a box on the other side. The object of it was to cross the balance beam thing while holding hands. If a person fell down that person had a consequence and had to start from the beginning. I fell down a lot. After that we did a rock climbing obstacle where we could only place our feet in only two foot rests. Then some people went to do an obstacle where two people have to climb up poles (one on each opposite side) and then walk on a wire while holding a rope and they had to cross in the middle. When the ropes course was over we said goodbye to keenan and darby and made our way back on the way to Orlando.

We arrived at  the hotel at about 8pm. Ali went to go to Publix to get ingredients for the crepes we made for dinner which was at 11:00 pm. We then went to bed.

The next day we went to Universal Studios from 10:00 to 2:00. At 2:45 we left the park to go to Give the Kids the World. Give the Kids the World is an organization where terminal kids go with their family for a week to go to the fun amusement parks (Disney and Universal Studios). From 3 to 5 we decorated the place for Winter Wonderland. From 5 to 6 we had our dinner. Then from 6 to 9 the event took place. During the first part of the event Olivia and I went to read to kids. Then I went to show the kids the way to the jolly Santa Claus. From 8 to 9 I made snow cones and popcorn. After the event was over I cleaned the popcorn stand. We then left Give the Kids the World feeling all tired. When we got back Kaitlyn and Olivia gave me a wonderful makeover. After the makeover I was super tired so I went to bed right away.

The next day we woke up and packed all our stuff up and put it in the truck. Then we went to Islands of Adventure from 11 to 4:45. Then we went back on the road to go back home.

run today

Today was my first run with the space of mind school. I ran for 8 minutes. I cannot wait to run without a walking break. I cannot wait for the down and dirty and mud race.
